The Pharmacy and Drug Amendment Act comes into effect on April 1, 2009, updating the legislation to allow for modern convenience and allowing mail order delivery of drugs. The Act provides Albertans who have limited mobility to have access to pharmacies by ordering and receiving their prescriptions through the internet and via the mail delivery system.
